A resin detail set, not an airplane model. This resin set from the Aires brand in 1:48 scale brings the bays of the main landing gear of the British Westland Wyvern carrier-based aircraft. It will replace the empty or shallow bays from the box with a faithfully worked structure with stiffeners, piping and wiring. The set is intended for experienced modelers; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Westland Wyvern was a British single-seat carrier-based strike aircraft from the beginning of the 1950s powered by a turboprop engine with coaxial contra-rotating propellers. It served with the Fleet Air Arm and saw combat during the Suez Crisis among other actions. Its landing gear bays had a rich internal structure, which the resin casting captures precisely.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
