This add-on set from the Czech manufacturer Aires is not a model but a detail replacement of the seats in resin for models of the two-seat Zlin Z-126 Trener trainer in 1:48 scale. The resin castings bring a truer shape and texture of the seats than plastic allows.
The Zlin Z-126 Trener is a classic Czechoslovak trainer with a two-seat cockpit in tandem. It is the open cockpit that tends to be the focal point of a model, and more accurate seats bring it markedly to life. Resin parts capture even the fine edges and pressings that a plastic seat lacks.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts and cut the casting blocks off carefully. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Paint the seats before you glue them into the cockpit and pick out the detail with a wash.
An add-on set in resin, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
