An injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak single-engined trainer and aerobatic aircraft Zlin Z-326 Trener Master in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. It appears in the ProfiPACK edition, which adds photo-etched parts (often color printed) and painting masks for the glazing to the plastic. The package also covers the related C-305 version and offers a rich choice of markings for Czechoslovak, Czech and foreign aircraft.
The Zlin Z-326 Trener Master was a two-seat trainer and sporting aircraft from the Zlin factory, following on from the successful series of postwar trainers. It stood out for its sturdy structure and good aerobatic qualities, so a whole generation of pilots trained on it and it had successes in competition aerobatics as well. Besides flying clubs, a number of foreign operators bought it. It was powered by an inverted inline engine and had retractable landing gear.
The cockpit interior is clearly visible under the long glazing: assemble and paint it before closing up the fuselage, and fit the color-printed photo-etched parts straight away with no painting. Mask the glazing with the enclosed masks. Bond the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate, the plastic with thin modeling cement, and sand the seams. Build glossy flying-club finishes over a smooth base and lay the decals on gloss varnish so that no silvering appears.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included, unless stated otherwise.
