About product

CANT Z.501 Gabbiano painting masks in 1:72 scale (Omask)

This is an aftermarket set of painting masks, not a kit. The masks are cut precisely to the shape of the cockpit glazing and the clear areas of a model of the Italian CANT Z.501 Gabbiano flying boat in 1:72 scale. They allow clean and crisp spraying of the canopy framing with no laborious masking by hand. The outlines of the masks follow the clear parts of the Italeri kit.

Use

  • Lift the masks off the sheet carefully and apply them exactly onto the framing of the glazing.
  • Press the edges down thoroughly so that no paint creeps under the mask.
  • Spray the interior color first and the outside shade afterward.
  • Once dry, lift the masks off and reveal clean transparencies.

Who it is for

  • Modelers building the Italian flying boat in 1:72 scale.
  • Anyone who wants crisp edges on the canopy framing.
  • Builders who want to avoid masking with tape by hand.

The accessory holds no paints and no kit. It serves only for masking while painting.
