An accessory set from the brand Panzerwerk Design that brings lift hooks for the early variants of the Panzer IV tank, that is versions A to E. The manufacturer presents itself as a supplier of three-dimensionally printed parts, which on shapes this small shows in crisp edges and a clean surface with no mold parting line.
The hooks welded to the hull and the turret served for lifting by crane during workshop repairs and when the turret or the engine was changed. They are inconspicuous but distinctly shaped features that end up right in the line of sight on a finished model. In kits they tend to be molded in one piece with the plate, so they look like a thickened bump instead of a separate hook with an opening.
Carefully cut the original shapes away and level the surface with abrasive paper on a hard backing. Separate the new parts from the print supports with a razor saw and wash them in lukewarm soapy water before gluing. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); mark the position in pencil beforehand according to the drawing, because once the glue has set the hook can no longer be moved. Primer and the usual painting procedure follow.
The package holds solely these small parts; the tank itself has to be obtained separately.
