Single-sided Art Scale masks for the A-20G Havoc of the RAAF 1:32 cover the outer surfaces of the glazing and the tires and save time when masking a large model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The masks cover the outer surfaces of the glazing and the tires, so tracing the frames and cutting along a ruler both fall away. The parts are die-cut to their final shape and hold by a self-adhesive layer; after spraying they come off without residues of adhesive. Anyone who wants to treat the inner side of the glazing as well will reach for the double-sided rendition for the same machine. The maker is the Czech brand Art Scale Kit.
Douglas designed this type as a fast light bomber of the DB-7 series and the war made it into a universal machine for bombing, attacks on ground targets and night patrol. The letter G designates the late attack version, in which a solid nose with gun armament replaced the glazed one. The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) deployed these machines in the Pacific area against Japanese bases and coastal shipping; they flew low, fast and as a rule in waves of several machines one after another.
First rid the transparent parts of fingerprints and let them dry properly, and only then lay the masks on and check the adhesion around the whole circumference. Apply the paint in thin coats; a heavy deposit creates a ridge under the edge that is visible once it is removed. Remove the stencils shortly after they have dried and keep them low over the surface as you peel them off.
The package contains the masks only; the kit, paints and glue have to be obtained separately.
