An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann trainer and liaison aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with engraved surface detail and a decal sheet for period markings. It is a rewarding, undemanding project that suits even a smaller display case.
The Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann was a low-wing two-seat aircraft with fixed landing gear, developed at the end of the 1930s as a trainer and liaison machine. During the Second World War the Luftwaffe used it widely for pilot training, liaison and auxiliary duties; it was also built after the war and served in a number of countries long afterward.
Cut the parts from the sprues, clean them up and join them with thin plastic cement. Cover the model with a primer before painting and spray it with an airbrush or a brush; fit the canopy glazing last. A thin wash and light weathering bring out the engraving.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
