An upgraded Phantom in Greek colors: two sheets of masks for the camouflage and insignia of the F-4E AUP in 1:72. The roundels and the rectangular flag alike can be sprayed.
Responsibility details are not available.
Two sheets of pre-cut stencils for the camouflage scheme of the upgraded Greek F-4Es and for their national marking. Besides the roundels the sheets also contain the rectangular flag which the Hellenic Air Force carries on its machines.
A program of avionics modernization turned the older F-4E into a machine able to serve far into the twenty-first century: a new radar, digital linking of the systems, a reworked cockpit and the ability to carry contemporary armament. Greece is among the last countries where the Phantom still serves in the front line, and its aircraft appear regularly at air shows all over Europe. The shape of the airframe the Phantom has kept practically unchanged, so a model holds up even in a display case next to machines from the 1960s.
In 1:72 the color fields are narrow and the transitions short, so it is important to spray with sparsely thinned paint and at low pressure, as otherwise the edge gets flooded. The insignia are applied only onto finished camouflage, after it has dried. The semi-transparent material makes their precise seating into place easier.
The kit is sold separately.
