About product

Diorama Texture No. 6, Yellow Gravel

A ready-made texture paste by the maker VMS (Vantage Modelling Solutions) for creating a realistic surface of yellow gravel on dioramas, bases and tracks. The paste contains a fine gravel scatter in a warm yellowish shade, which faithfully imitates country tracks, paths and made-up surfaces. It is neither a paint nor a kit but a scenic material.

Use

  • Apply the paste with a spatula or a brush onto the base and create a gravel surface.
  • For firm anchoring, lay it in and flood it with modeling PVA glue (white glue).
  • The natural shade looks realistic; it can be overpainted with acrylics, a wash and pigments as needed.
  • Tools and fresh residues can be washed with water while the paste has not dried.

Who it is for

  • Builders of dioramas with tracks and made-up surfaces
  • Modelers creating realistic ground and bases
  • Anyone who wants to create a gravel surface quickly

It is a scenic texture material, not a covering paint. Store closed and out of the reach of children.

FAQ

For creating a realistic yellow gravel surface on the tracks, paths and surfaces of dioramas.

You do not, as it has a natural yellowish shade. It can be overpainted and picked out with a wash as needed.

Laying it in and flooding it with modeling PVA glue (white glue) proves itself.
