Cut masks of kabuki paper for a model of the MiG-21PF in 1:72 scale, cut for Eduard kits. The Advanced level.
Responsibility details are not available.
The PF version came about so that the MiG-21 would hold its own at night and in poor visibility as well. It received a radar in the cone of the nose intake, the cone grew larger because of it and the nose was strengthened. This version has no built-in cannon, and its main weapons were guided missiles. In 1:72 scale the model is small, but all the more does every blurred edge of a canopy frame catch the eye on it.
The set contains masks cut from kabuki paper to the shape of the glazing of one particular kit. The paper is thin, holds just enough to be taken off without damaging the finish, and gives way to a slightly domed surface with no creases. The measuring out and cutting of strips of adhesive tape falls away, which in a small scale is work in which the blade easily slips. The set is cut for the MiG-21PF kits from Eduard and is the Advanced level; the Basic and Expert levels are carried for the same aircraft as well. The range of the individual levels is given by the manufacturer.
For builders of MiG-21s in 1:72 scale who do not feel like masking the glazing strip by strip and want a crisp transition between the frame and the glass. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
