A set of masks for spraying the camouflage on a model of the F-15 Eagle fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is an American fighter built for air combat: twin-engine, with a large lifting surface and two vertical tail surfaces. Since its introduction it has been one of the mainstays of the US Air Force and it serves with other users as well. For a modeler it is an aircraft with extensive smooth surfaces on which every transition between shades is clearly visible, and with a pair of fins where the boundary of the finish has to meet symmetrically.
The set covers the fields of the camouflage scheme, so the boundaries do not have to be measured out on the model or assembled from cut tape. On areas as large as the Eagle's, hand work gives itself away at once: the line goes astray, it comes out at a different height on the left and right halves and it shows when seen from above. Cut masks hold the shape according to the scheme and repeat it the same on both sides of the model, including the transition on both fins.
The masks alone are supplied. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. The masks are cut to the shapes of one particular kit, so check the compatibility and the order of the shades in the manufacturer's data and instructions.
