This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale represents the Czechoslovak Zlin Z-212 training and sporting aircraft. The short-run model from the Czech brand RS Models offers fine detail and a variant with a closed as well as an open canopy. It is a pleasant subject for collectors of post-war Czechoslovak aircraft.
The Zlin Z-212 was the modernized successor of the successful Zlin line, distinguished by a fully enclosed cabin and side-by-side seats. It first flew in 1947 and was used for training as well as for sport flying. The elegant low-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear is one of the pleasant chapters of post-war Czechoslovak aviation.
We recommend liquid cement for plastic, careful cleaning up of the parts and spraying with an airbrush. Mask the canopy glazing before painting; the model offers a choice of an open as well as a closed canopy, which builders longing for fine interior detail will appreciate.
