The real subject

The T-54 and T-55 form the post-war line of Soviet medium tanks with a low rounded turret, which was produced in enormous numbers and entered service with dozens of armies all over the world. The individual versions differ from one another in details of equipment and external features, but the basic shape of the hull and turret stays common to them, and that is why sets of accessories are often designated for both variants at once.

What the set contains

The package holds parts of the engine in 1:72 scale as an accessory to a model of the tank. Building and painting tips

Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the fine detail does not disappear. The parts are not polystyrene like an ordinary kit, so check the suitable glue in the manufacturer's instructions. Wash and degrease them before painting. Paint the engine and pick out the shadows on it away from the model, where you can reach it from every side; seat it in the hull only at the end.
