Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. MFS-3 Mechagodzilla is a kit of the combat robot from the Japanese film of 2003 molded in color, which is made by the Aoshima brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
Aoshima has worked up the armored form of the robot as it appeared in the picture from 2003. The set belongs to a collector's line with movable joints and is molded in colored plastic with snap-fit assembly, so the finished figure stands and moves even with no coat of paint. Once built it measures around twenty-four centimeters.
The chest, back and shoulder modules are newly rendered compared with the earlier version of the machine and correspond to the damage from the previous encounter. Interchangeable parts for the triple beam cannon on the arm are enclosed as well, together with a spare head in the damaged form, with which the scene from the film can be repeated. The design was worked on by an artist who looked after the appearance of the machine in the film crew itself.
The colored plastic allows a build with no spraying, but small things will raise the result. Bring the engraved lines out with a dark wash, roughen the joint pins slightly before assembly so that they hold their position, and bring the metal surfaces to life with a dry brush in a silver shade. Anyone who wants to go further can spray the surface over, but in that case it is a good idea to take the joints apart in advance and mask them.
The figure is put together from parts; it is not a finished painted product.
