A set of four hand fire extinguishers in 1:24 scale, in the form designated as the first type. A fire extinguisher is mandatory equipment in a racing car and on a model it is one of those details that give away at once whether the builder took the trouble: it tends to be mounted beside the seat or on the floor by the bulkhead, that is, in a place that is clearly visible through an open window. It is not a kit but an accessory.
The parts are small, so work with tweezers over a mat. Separate the castings from the remainder with a sharp knife, not with side cutters. They are bonded with super glue, that is, with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer before painting. A rich red with a metal head suits an extinguisher, with the label suggested by a thin white line, and it is exactly that difference between the body and the head that makes the whole effect. The mounting straps can be suggested with a thin strip of film or photo-etch.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and it is an accessory, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
