A resin figure in 1:35 scale that will fill the empty seat of American construction and engineer equipment. Without a man at the controls, every crawler tractor reads as an exhibit; a seated figure, by contrast, gives it a sense of scale and a story. The figure can also be set on the running board beside the seat.

The engineer equipment of the American army

The American engineer battalions brought to every theater the same outfit they knew from building work at home: crawler dozers, scrapers and rollers towed behind a tractor. Their task was to get a level surface under the aircraft before a squadron moved up, and to keep the roads passable for supply convoys. The work often went on within sight of the front and without armor, so the crews worked at a civilian pace but in wartime conditions.

Working with the part

Before laying a base coat on we recommend degreasing the surface, as a primer holds badly on smooth resin. Try the seating dry directly on the seat, because once the glue has set resin will no longer bend. Overalls look more convincing in a lighter tone if you add stains of oil and dust in the places where a man leans.

Choose a rather faded green shade on the machine, so that the figure in overalls does not disappear.
