Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of a driver in 1:35 scale from the LRDG Crew Vol.2 range by the maker LZ models. It captures a member of the British long-range desert patrol in the field dress typical of operations in the Near and Middle East. The figure is meant to round out dioramas and models of military vehicles, and is supplied as a set of parts to be assembled and painted.
The Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) was a British reconnaissance and raiding unit operating in North Africa in the Second World War. Its crews moved deep behind the enemy's rear on modified off-road vehicles, carried out reconnaissance and navigation in the desert and mounted raids. Characteristic were the looser, practically conceived uniforms adapted to extreme desert conditions, headgear against the sun and improvised field gear.
Before gluing, wash any mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks and risers off carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue resin joints with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend a base of primer and grading the flesh tone and the shading; pastel desert tones with dust effects and a light picking out of the folds suit the uniform. The pose of the figure is easily seated behind the wheel of an off-road vehicle.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
