This is a detail accessory, not an airplane model. The package contains three 3D-printed resin Type 98 reflector gunsights in three different versions in 1:48 scale. They replace the simplified plastic parts and give the cockpit of a Japanese fighter convincing detail.
The Type 98 was a Japanese optical reflector gunsight used on a number of aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service and the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force in the Second World War, for example on the A6M fighters. Instead of a simple ring it projected the aiming pattern onto a glass plate, so that the pilot saw the target and the aiming point at the same time.
Separate the tiny parts carefully from the supports, wash and degrease them and bond them with super glue. Paint the body of the gunsight black or a dark metallic shade; the reflector glass can be suggested with a drop of clear varnish for the impression of optics.
The set contains only accessory parts. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
