The Performante is the sharpest version of the Italian SUV: lower, wider and lighter. The Grigio Nimbus shade, metal workmanship in 1:64.

Performante is the designation the Italian marque keeps for its most highly strung versions. On the large SUV it meant lowering the ride height by two centimeters, widening the wheel track, stiffer coil springs instead of air suspension and shedding tens of kilograms. The hood, the fenders and the spoiler went over to carbon composite.
Under the hood stayed the four-liter force-fed eight-cylinder, tuned to figures that long counted among the best in this class. More interesting, though, is the added drive mode intended for a loose surface, because it turned a family vehicle into a machine capable of a controlled slide on gravel. It was precisely in this that the version differed most from the ordinary form.
Grigio Nimbus is a cold gray on which the black elements of the body and the shape of the sill trims come out. The model reproduces the squared wheel arch trims, the pronounced diffuser and the large wheels, that is the elements by which the sharp version is known at first glance. The piece is not finished off in any way.
In a collection it will fill a place where there is usually nothing: among low sports cars there are no tall bodies, and it is precisely those that give a shelf depth.
The Urus name belongs to the extinct aurochs and thus fits the marque's habit of naming its cars after bulls. Bringing a tall body into the range caused a stir among devotees, because it was long taken as a denial of tradition. The sales figures turned that around, though, and today this type accounts for a considerable part of the total production.
