A detailed resin set with etched parts for showing the extended flaps of the Airbus A380 airliner in 1:144 scale from LACI. The set is meant for the Airbus A380 kit from Revell and replaces the original retracted flaps with a faithful configuration in the landing position. It is not a stand-alone aircraft model but an accessory for raising the realism.
Large airliners have their flaps on the trailing edge of the wing fully extended and lowered on landing and on takeoff. The retracted flaps from a base kit do not capture that dramatic configuration. The set therefore brings resin and etched parts with which you assemble the wing with the flaps in the extended position - ideal for a model caught on approach.
Wash the resin parts, cut the casting blocks off and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue the etched and the resin parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting and take care over the exact fit with the wing of the base kit.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
