Small nuts with a screw stem and a washer, 0.7 mm in size, intended for detailing models in 1:72 to 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds miniature nuts with a washer and with a shank, that is with a pin by which the part is seated in a pre-drilled hole. The name gives a size of 0.7 mm and use in 1:72 to 1:48 scale. Fasteners are exactly the kind of detail that a kit only suggests: the hexagon is filled in, the edges are blurred and after painting hardly a trace of it is left. Replacement nuts have a sharp shape and a hexagon that reads clearly even once painted.
On armor plates and their joints, on engine covers, on hinges, on chassis and frames, and anywhere a real bolted joint ought to be visible. Another proven place is a surface where the difference between a coarsely shaped part and the fine detail around it needs evening out.
Drill the hole with a micro drill of a diameter matching the shank, and preferably try the strength of the material on a scrap piece first. Pick the parts up with tweezers with fine jaws and work over a surface with raised edges, because a nut of this size, once dropped, will never be found again. A minute drop of cyanoacrylate glue applied with the tip of a toothpick is enough to hold it, not a drop from the bottle. Degrease the surface before painting and use a primer, so that the tiny part does not disappear into a thick coat of paint. The hexagon stands out when a darker tone is added around it.
The fasteners are supplied according to the name. The model, drills, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
