IONIC Frog Green is a green paint from the IONIC line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez, and the name links it to the green of frogs. It suits amphibians and reptiles, the green skin of fantasy creatures, water plants in a diorama and anywhere you want a livelier green than the muted camouflage tones. How saturated the tone is does not follow from the name, so compare it against the manufacturer's color chart before you add it to your palette.
Stir the contents well before work, because the pigment in modeling paints settles at the bottom and unstirred paint shifts both the tone and the covering power. What to thin it with and in what ratio is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging, those instructions take precedence, and it is better not to reach for a thinner from another line. Build the paint up in thin coats and let it dry between them, because a heavy coat collects in the engraving and fine detail vanishes in it. Wash the surface, degrease it and give it a primer, as paint holds worse on bare smooth plastic. Rinse the brushes and the airbrush right after work, while the paint is still wet.
On figures, on dioramas with water and vegetation and on small scenic details. A more saturated green also works well as a transition on edges that are meant to look lit. The IONIC line comes as single shades and in themed sets.
The package contains a single shade of paint. The model, figure, brushes, airbrush and thinner are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
