An add-on set of rivets for models. The head is domed into a round shape, that is with no flat on top, and the size of the part is 1.7 mm. That is one of the largest dimensions of this family, so the riveting is unmissable on a finished model.
A rivet differs from a bolt in having neither edges nor a slot, only a smooth dome, and light therefore slides across it differently. On a model that tells mainly on armor plates, girders, chassis parts and older machinery, where riveting holds the whole structure together. A real raised head acts differently from a scribed or pressed imitation, because it casts a real shadow.
For a modeler who builds in a larger scale or wants the riveting as a bold element of the surface. It is an add-on set for a part-built model, not a kit.
