Resin replacement wheels in 1:72 scale by the Czech maker Firma49 for the German VW Kübelwagen light cross-country car. This is the second variant (set.2), with balloon tires in an underinflated state and a faithful flat spot where they touch the ground. It is NOT a vehicle model: it is a detail accessory replacing the production wheels from a kit.
The VW Type 82 Kübelwagen was a German light general-purpose car of the Second World War. For sand and soft ground, wider balloon tires were used, and these were sometimes run slightly underinflated for better grip.
Wash the mold release agent off the small wheels, separate the casting blocks and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); work with tweezers. Paint the tires in shades of dark rubber and bring them up with dust pigments, so that the underinflated contact patch shows.
It is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. The vehicle, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
