An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese F-15J fighter in 1:72 scale from FineMolds. This box captures a machine of the Air Development and Test Wing in a commemorative finish for an anniversary of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), with a bold white fuselage and striking red stripes. It is a well made tool with rich detail; check the exact contents and the marking scheme against the particular box.
The F-15J is the Japanese license-built version of the American twin-engine F-15 Eagle fighter designed to win air superiority. In the service of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force it has formed the backbone of the fighter defense for many years. The Air Development and Test Wing, based at Gifu, is devoted to testing aircraft and armament; for the anniversary of the JASDF one of its machines was given a commemorative finish.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Paint the cockpit and the seat and bring out their detail before closing the fuselage, and mask the glazing. The commemorative scheme calls for a clean white base and accurate placement of the red stripes; a primer, an airbrush and patience with the decals over a gloss coat all help.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
