The M197 is an American rotary cannon of 20 mm caliber with a cluster of three barrels. It came about by shortening the six-barrel M61 weapon and is considerably lighter than it, so it suits places where carrying capacity is decisive, that is above all helicopters. The rotating cluster of barrels spreads the thermal load across more barrels and allows a high rate of fire in short bursts. The MH-60S Knighthawk is a multipurpose helicopter of the US Navy derived from the Sikorsky S-70 family of machines; in armed tasks it carries weapons at the sides of the fuselage.

Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let them dry. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest, holding the thin barrels as close to the place of the cut as possible so that they do not bend. Try the fit dry and only then glue; the suitable glue and the exact procedure are stated in the manufacturer's instructions. The weapon looks best in a dark metallic shade with a light lightening of the edges, leave the muzzles of the barrels scorched and do not forget that against the surrounding finish of the fuselage the metal should be markedly darker.
