This is a resin detail set, not an airplane kit. It contains precisely cast chaff and flare dispensers that fit onto the rear fuselage of the 1:32 Trumpeter A-4 Skyhawk kit. The parts replace the simplified features of the plastic kit with finer detail and crisp definition.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a light single-seat carrier attack aircraft that served from the mid-1950s mainly with the US Navy and the US Marine Corps. The compact machine, with a delta wing that needed no folding, proved itself in many conflicts and in export service. Chaff and flare dispensers belong to the passive defenses against missiles with heat and radar guidance.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The set is meant for more advanced modelers who want to refine a model beyond the contents of the box.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
