This resin detail set contains two external drop fuel tanks in 1:48 scale for builds of McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle fighters. It is not an airplane kit, but an aftermarket accessory that will replace or supplement the tanks from a plastic kit and raise the fidelity of the model. The castings have clean shapes and the fine surface typical of cast resin parts.
The F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine air superiority fighter. To extend its range it carries large-capacity drop tanks on the fuselage and underwing pylons, which are characteristic of the silhouette of the aircraft on long-range flights. Faithfully shaped tanks are among the details that modelers notice on a finished build.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; choose the shades according to the particular finish of your aircraft.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
