A cellulose thinner in a 100 ml package for thinning nitrocellulose modeling paints and lacquers and for cleaning an airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
A cellulose thinner belongs with nitrocellulose paints and lacquers. It brings their consistency to a value an airbrush can atomize into an even cone, and it also affects the speed of drying, that is, whether the paint reaches the model still wet or pulls into grain on the way. It is also used for cleaning an airbrush and tools after working with paints of the same range. The package holds 100 ml.
The thinning ratio differs according to the particular paint, the pressure and the nozzle, so start from the paint manufacturer's instructions and check the consistency with a test spray onto a piece of paper. Add the thinner a little at a time and stir the paint thoroughly each time. Spray thin coats with a pause between them so that the solvent has time to evaporate; a heavy wet coat runs and emphasizes every unevenness of the surface. Once you have finished spraying, flush the airbrush out before the paint dries in it.
A cellulose thinner is aggressive to bare polystyrene and to some acrylic layers under a coat, so on a model it is always safer to have a proper ground. Before working on a finished surface, test the effect in a hidden spot. Work in a well ventilated room with a respirator, store the container closed, out of the reach of children and away from open flame.
For modelers who spray with nitrocellulose paints and lacquers. The package holds 100 ml of thinner; paints, an airbrush and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
