License plates on a car model

On a model in 1:24 scale, license plates finish off both the front and the rear of the vehicle. Without them the plate holder stays empty and the eye registers it at once, because on a real vehicle it usually is not empty. This sheet offers European license plates in the scale mentioned, that is in a size in which even the layout of the print is visible. A modeler can thus assign the vehicle to a particular country without having to paint anything with a brush.

What the designation Vol.04 means

The series comes out in volumes and the number Vol.04 marks the fourth of them. The individual volumes differ from one another in the content of the sheet, so this is not a reprint of the same thing. Which selection of plates you actually get is shown by the illustration on the packaging; the name gives only the volume number and the scale. The manufacturer also issues further volumes of the same series, so you can choose according to which country the vehicle is meant to represent.

Application tips

First varnish the place where the plate will go to a gloss and let it cure thoroughly. Separate the decal with a sharp blade close to the print, so that no rim of clear film is left along the edges. After soaking and settling it, let the plate dry on its own and do not touch it while it is holding water. If the plate sits into a recess in the holder, a decal softener applied with a brush from above will help. Before you soak the sheet, check the procedure in the manufacturer's instructions.

A decal sheet is supplied. A car model, varnish, decal softener and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
