The third continuation of the Zoukei-Mura paved range is intended for everyone for whom a base is not a necessary evil but a full part of a model. Stone paving will take dozens of color approaches: from the cold gray of a northern city through the ocher tones of the south to the dark wet look after rain. The relief of the stones meanwhile does half the work for you; you only have to help it with color and light so that it stands out.
Start with a mid gray-brown base, let a dark glaze run into the joints and lighten the top faces of the stones gradually with two or three shades. Finally unify the surface with a fine dust pigment and add traces of earth at the edges; a puddle made of gloss varnish will turn even a small slice of street into a story.
A fine choice for modelers who want to improve at weathering horizontal surfaces, and for experienced diorama builders looking for a quick and convincing surface under a finished model. The manufacturer leaves the scale open, so usability is decided only by the optical ratio of the size of the stones to the machine or figure on display. You can also try bolder experiments here, a wet sheen after a shower or faded summer dust, without risking a finished model.
