The plastic kit IJN Soryu in 1:700 scale from Fujimi, a Japanese aircraft carrier in the full hull version with a stand.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese aircraft carrier Soryu in 1:700 scale from Fujimi, in the full hull version. The model is built as a full hull and comes with a stand for display. The set contains newly tooled parts for the 25 mm anti-aircraft guns, on which the barrel and the mount are separate parts, and decals for the ship's markings.
Soryu was a fast Japanese aircraft carrier, one of the key units of the strike forces at the start of the war in the Pacific. She was marked by high speed and a numerous air group. She took part in the attack on Pearl Harbor. At the Battle of Midway on 4 June 1942 she was hit by American dive bombers and sank after the resulting fires; the loss of four Japanese carriers at Midway was the turning point of the war in the Pacific.
Seat the full hull model on the enclosed stand. Paint the flight deck and set its shade apart from the sides of the hull. Glue the fine 25 mm guns and the small parts carefully with thin cement. Bring out the panel lines and the deck planking with a wash; finish the aircraft on the deck separately. Consider adding photo-etched parts for the railings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
