Fujimi 1:700 set of motor launches, machine guns and fittings — an add-on for Japanese warships in 1:700 scale: motor launches, smaller boats, machine guns and other small deck equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A versatile add-on set from Fujimi for models of Japanese warships in 1:700 scale. It holds motor launches, smaller boats, machine gun armament and other small deck fittings — exactly the details that base kits tend to simplify or leave out altogether. This is not a standalone model but an add-on to a ship kit.
Motor launches kept Japanese warships in contact with the shore and carried their officers, while smaller cutters moved the crew. Light machine gun armament supplemented the ships' anti-aircraft defense, and as the war went on more of it appeared on every free spot of the decks and superstructures.
Paint the boats on their own before fitting them — gray hulls come to life with brown planking and a fine wash. Fit the machine guns according to period photographs of your own ship. The remaining parts come in handy as a stock for further builds or for a harbor diorama.
This is an add-on set — the ship model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
