A set for a model of the Japanese battleship Musashi in 1:700 scale for the Fujimi 460024 kit: a wooden deck, a masking sheet and a planking mask.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Musashi was the second ship of the Yamato class and, together with her sister vessel, the largest battleship ever built. Her main armament consisted of nine 460 mm guns in three triple turrets. She was sunk on 24 October 1944 in the Sibuyan Sea after all-day air attacks by carrier aircraft.
The set is intended for the Fujimi kit from the Next line, kit number 460024, and brings three things together: a wooden deck, a masking sheet and a mask for the planking. The wooden deck gives the model a texture and a shade that are hard to find by spraying, the masking sheet helps to separate the deck areas from the surrounding finish and the planking mask serves to suggest the gaps.
First rid the deck part of the model of burrs and remains of glue so that it sits flat; every bump shows through a thin layer. Try the parts dry first and only then seat them in place. The way of fixing the deck, the recommended glue and the order of work are given by the manufacturer in the instructions, so go by them. Stick the masks onto a clean and degreased surface before spraying, apply the paint in several light coats and take the mask off shortly after it has dried.
The set is for a modeler who wants the deck taken all the way and does not want to put its texture and shade together in paint alone. The delivery holds the parts and the masks listed; the kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
