An accessory for a model in 1:72 scale, the manufacturer's part number ACA7280. The package holds external stores, unguided rockets of 82 mm caliber on launch rails, for a model of the MiG-3. It is not an aircraft kit and the airplane has to be obtained separately. The Ukrainian brand Armory specializes in external stores, wheels and partial installations.
Soviet unguided rockets of 82 mm caliber were among the most widespread aircraft armament of 1941, and almost every Soviet combat squadron carried them. The MiG-3 was originally a high-altitude interceptor with a Mikulin engine, but it fell behind at low altitudes, so in the first year of the war it was often used for attacks on ground targets. At first the rails for the rockets were fitted by the field repair shops at the units, and only from October 1941 did production start building them into new MiGs. It is precisely this improvised carrier, made in the field, that the set renders.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and protect your airways while sanding. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Attach the rails only once the wing is finished, so that the masking is not spoiled. Spray the rockets separately and seat them last, otherwise you will not reach them with a brush.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
