Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Quickboost, a brand of the Czech maker Aires, brings the blades of the front fan in an accurate shape for a model of the American Fairchild Republic A-10A Thunderbolt II attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers that corrects or replaces the simplified plastic blades visible in the mouths of the engine nacelles.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II, nicknamed the Warthog, is an American single-seat attack aircraft meant for close support of ground forces and for destroying vehicles. It is powered by two high-bypass turbofan engines mounted high on the sides of the rear fuselage; their large front fan is clearly visible in the mouth of the nacelle. The aircraft is known for its great toughness.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the blades with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with plastic cement, and watch that they are centered in the nacelle. Test the fit dry before painting.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
