About product

A-10C Thunderbolt II, painting masks 1:72 (Eduard)

This set from Eduard contains precisely cut self-adhesive masks of thin kabuki (washi) paper. They are intended for quick, clean masking of the cockpit glazing and the other transparent parts, and of the wheel hubs, when spraying a model of the A-10C ground-attack aircraft.

What the masks are for

The masks follow the frames of the cockpit canopy exactly, so that after spraying the frame lines come out sharp and straight without laborious cutting of tape. The result looks faithful and saves a great deal of the time that masking complex glazing by hand would take.

Usage tips

  • Wash and degrease the glazing before masking.
  • Press the masks down all the way around so that paint does not creep under the edge.
  • Spray the interior shade of the frames first, then the exterior color of the airframe.

Who the masks are for

  • Builders of modern ground-attack and jet aircraft
  • Modelers looking for clean glazing frames
  • Users of an airbrush and of a brush alike

These are painting masks, an accessory, not a model. The paints and the model are not included in the package.

FAQ

Self-adhesive kabuki masks for the cockpit glazing and for the wheel hubs of an A-10C model in 1:72 scale.

Kabuki paper holds well and as a rule leaves nothing behind once removed, unless it is left on the model for too long.

No, these are masks only. The package contains neither the model nor the paints.
