This item is not a kit of the aircraft but a set of replacement wheels cast in modeling resin for a model of the Invader in 1:72 scale. The set matches the late form of the wheels on the real subject. The number of parts and the contents of the package are stated on the box. The Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engine attack and bomber aircraft of the end of the Second World War. The combination of a laminar-flow wing and a pair of radial engines made it a fairly fast machine in its class. The type stayed in service long after the war and went through a number of modifications, including changes in the landing gear area. That is exactly why add-on wheel sets distinguish the early and the late form, which differ in shape.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent because of mold release agent residue. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw and sand the surface wet with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate, that is with super glue. In a small scale it pays to paint the tire dark gray rather than pure black, as the wheel would otherwise merge visually into a single dark blob. Separate the hub with a circular mask and dust the contact patch lightly with pigment.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
