This injection-molded plastic kit from the Czech maker Brengun captures the American A-36 Apache ground-attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. This edition offers decals for machines in British (RAF) markings. The package contains plastic parts, decals and instructions; for this type the maker adds fine detail parts as well.
The A-36 Apache was the ground-attack and dive-bomber version of the famous North American P-51 Mustang fighter with the Allison engine. It differed from the fighter variant above all in its airbrakes for dive attacks and its bomb racks. It was deployed mainly in the Mediterranean, over Sicily and Italy, and some of the machines also flew in British colors.
Use a thin cement for plastic, sand the joints down and apply a primer before painting. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers and apply the decals onto a gloss base. The British camouflage scheme and national insignia give the model an unusual look compared with the customary American Mustangs.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
