The A-7E Corsair II cockpit set - late version 1:72 (Aires) is a resin cockpit detail set for building the LTV A-7E carrier attack aircraft. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Aires in 1:72 scale replaces the basic cockpit of the kit with a faithfully rendered tub, instrument panel, side panels and ejection seat. The parts match the late version of the A-7E. It is an accessory meant to be built into a kit, not an aircraft model in its own right.
The LTV A-7 Corsair II is an American single-seat subsonic carrier attack aircraft whose design came from the airframe of the F-8 Crusader fighter. The A-7E version was the definitive form for the Navy, with more powerful engines and cannon armament. The late machines differed in details of their instruments and avionics.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The cockpit is usually painted dark gray, and the instrument panels are brought out with a dry brush and a wash. Using masks or stencils speeds up painting the instruments. Protect your airways while sanding.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
