A color photo-etched instrument panel for models of the Japanese A6M5 Zero carrier fighter in 1:72 scale from Yahu Models. The panel is painted in the cockpit shade matching Mitsubishi-built machines, comes assembled by the manufacturer and is ready to be glued in. It is not a model but a detail accessory for a cockpit, which replaces the simplified plastic panel from the base kit.
The A6M5 was one of the most widely used versions of the famous Reisen fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service in the Second World War. This legendary agile machine with a radial engine was built by two manufacturers, and the shade of green in the cockpit interior differed slightly between them. This version of the panel matches the shade used on Mitsubishi machines.
Cut or thin down the plastic panel from the kit, degrease the surface and seat the color photo-etched part with cyanoacrylate. The layered construction gives the instrument panel real depth and finely legible instruments. The work calls for tweezers and a feel for small photo-etched parts.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an aircraft model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
