A kit of the British Airspeed Envoy light twin-engined transport aircraft (with Cheetah engines) in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker RS Models. It is a short-run injection-molded kit supplemented with photo-etched parts and clear items; a decal set with several options is included. Short-run tools are intended rather for more experienced modelers. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
The Airspeed Envoy was a British twin-engined low-wing monoplane of the middle 1930s, derived from and enlarged out of the single-engined Courier. It served as a transport and communications aircraft for several civil operators and air forces in Europe and Asia, and it also became the basis of the military Oxford. About fifty were built.
With a short-run tool, allow for hand cleanup of the parts, removal of the sprue gates and careful dry-fitting. Glue the plastic parts with thin cement and the photo-etched and small parts with cyanoacrylate. Use a primer and an airbrush; the large glazed areas of the cockpit reward careful masking. Gloss varnish before the decals, a matte overcoat at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
