Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Austro-Hungarian Albatros D.II Oeffag series 53 fighter biplane in 1:72 scale from Roden. It is the license-built version of the German Albatros produced by Oeffag. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; for the contents of the box and the number of finishing schemes, follow the enclosed instructions.
The Albatros D.II was a German fighter biplane that the Viennese company Oeffag built under license in Austria-Hungary. The series 53 version received a more powerful Austro-Daimler engine, which gave it higher speed and a better rate of climb than the German original with its Mercedes engine. The Oeffag aircraft were robust and reliable fighters and proved themselves on the Italian and the Eastern Front.
Finish and paint the cockpit and the engine before you join the fuselage halves. Join the upper and lower wings through the struts carefully and let them cure at the correct angle. Do not forget the bracing - suggest the bracing wires between the wings with fine thread. Spray the base coat over a primer; the wooden surfaces and the period schemes suit a combination of airbrush work and light washes in the engraved lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
