This is an Aires resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set offers an accurate casting of the American liquid-cooled Allison V-1710 engine, including fine structure on the block and the accessories. It serves for an open presentation of the engine section on suitable aircraft kits in 1:72 scale.
The Allison V-1710 was an American liquid-cooled V12 engine of the Second World War. It powered a number of American fighters, among them machines with the engine in the nose and in the middle of the fuselage. It is a significant aero engine of its era.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand with your airways protected. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The engine comes alive once metallic shades, picked-out plumbing and a fine wash that draws out the detail of the block have gone on.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue, paints and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
