The Panhard AML is a French light armored car in the 4x4 configuration, introduced in the late 1950s as a reconnaissance and patrol vehicle for wide and poorly passable areas. It is marked out by small dimensions, low weight and a long range. The AML-90 variant carries a turret with a 90 mm gun, which gives it firepower out of all proportion to its size; the version with a mortar performed different duties. The vehicle was widely exported and served with dozens of users, which means a broad palette of finishes from desert tones to green camouflage.
Cut the parts from the sprues with cutters, sand the remains of the gates down carefully and try the main parts dry first — in a small scale every deviation in the fit of the hull shows in the final shape. Glue with thin cement for plastic applied by capillary action, fill the gaps with a thin layer of putty and sand them down. The wheels are easier to paint separately and to fit at the end. Apply a primer before painting, ideally with an airbrush. The finish is helped by bringing out the panel lines with a wash, fine chipping on the edges and a dusty cast on the lower part of the vehicle and on the wheels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
