The Antonov An-12BK plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Roden — a large Soviet four-engine turboprop transport aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet transport aircraft Antonov An-12BK in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Roden. It is a large model with four turboprop engines, a glazed navigator's nose and a compartmented cargo hold. Thanks to the size of the real aircraft, the finished build makes an impressive display model with a wide wingspan.
The Antonov An-12 was one of the most widespread Soviet military transport aircraft. The four-engine turboprop machine served to carry cargo, vehicles and paratroops, and in the NATO code it bore the name Cub. The An-12BK version brought changes in equipment and was fielded by a number of users around the world; characteristic are its rear ramp and glazed nose.
Glue the large fuselage and the long wings in stages with a thin cement for plastic and mind the symmetry of the engine nacelles. Finish the interior of the cargo hold before closing the fuselage. The extensive areas are best painted with an airbrush after a coat of primer; the metal propeller spinners and the leading edges come out well in a shade of their own.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
