This injection-molded plastic kit catches the two-seat version of the Italian Ansaldo S.V.A. biplane in 1:72 scale. The Other services release differs from the Italian variant in its decal sheet, which offers markings for machines operated outside the Italian air service. The box holds the plastic parts, the clear pieces and the decals to finish the model.
The Ansaldo S.V.A. aircraft were among the fastest machines of the closing stages of the First World War and made their name on long-range reconnaissance flights. The two-seat S.V.A.9 version served mainly for training and observation. After the war a number of these machines entered the service of other countries, which used them long after 1918. Power came from the SPA inline six-cylinder engine, which gave the aircraft excellent performance and range.
Glue the fine parts with a thin cement for plastic and clean up the small flash. On a biplane, take care that the upper wing and the struts are seated exactly. Before the decals go on, coat the surface with a gloss varnish so that the markings take well. Finish the woodwork and any bracing carefully, because in small scales they are very noticeable.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
