The Brengun 1:72 photo-etched set for the Arado Ar 396 adds fine metal details to a model that injection-molded plastic cannot capture faithfully.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on photo-etched set from the Czech maker Brengun in 1:72 scale. It is NOT an aircraft kit but a set of metal details meant to improve a plastic model of the Arado Ar 396. Thin brass parts replace thick-walled plastic features and add details that injection-molded plastic cannot hold.
The Arado Ar 396 was a German training and liaison aircraft of the end of the Second World War, a low-wing machine following on from the Ar 96 line. It served for advanced pilot training and part of its development also took place in France.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat and form the bends on a photo-etch bending tool or between two rulers. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) or a special adhesive for etch. Degrease them before painting and apply a primer for metal; spare any colored parts (if the set holds them) from an excessive layer of paint.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The basic model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
