SPACE is a line from the Czech manufacturer Eduard that brings together color 3D interior decals on decal paper with steel photo-etched parts. The set is intended for Avia CS-199 models in 1:72 scale. The 3D decals reproduce the instrument panels and the side consoles of both cockpits with relief and finished printing, while the steel photo-etch adds above all the pre-painted harness belts of the seats.
The Avia CS-199 was the two-seat trainer version of the postwar Czechoslovak S-199 fighter, which came about by combining the airframe of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 with a Junkers Jumo engine. It served to train pilots on this unusual machine.
The 3D decals are not soaked whole; only the carrier paper underneath them is moistened, the element is lifted off with tweezers and fixed with white PVA glue onto a cleaned and varnished interior in both cockpits. Keep the decal softener for ordinary decals, as it would attack this printed resin. The steel photo-etched belts are separated from the fret, formed and bonded with super glue. In 1:72 scale, tweezers and good light are useful.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit; the model itself and the paints are not included in the package.
