A set of five brushes selected for weathering techniques: angled, comb, oval, fine liner and cone-shaped for oil paints. Each serves a different specific task.

Weathering a model is not a single activity, but a series of small steps, each of which calls for a differently cut brush head. This group is put together exactly with that in mind: instead of several sizes of one shape, you get five different profiles that complement each other in use and rarely compete.
The last two shapes are built mainly for oil paints, which stay workable on the surface for a long time and can be blended almost endlessly. The cone shape is ideal for this, since tapping does not dig in or leave a stroke. The comb bristle, on the other hand, needs only a little paint on the tips, or the streaks merge into a solid patch.
After oil, clean the brushes with mineral spirits and only then with soapy water, so no greasy residue is left in the ferrule. Never let the bristles stand tip-down in a jar, since they will bend and never regain their shape. After rinsing, lay the brush flat in a stand and let it dry fully before closing it in a case.
